First Quilt

Kathy (Red) collects Nike t-shirts. I don’t know how many she has and I don’t think she does either, but her first t-shirt quilt shown above contains only about a third of her collection. She has only recently picked up the second quilt, and a third one is in the planning stage. The quilt above is king-sized, which unfortunately for the viewer is too big for my design wall.

I totally enjoyed making this huge quilt, partly because for the very first time I was able to collect rows and rows of logos with matching (almost) backgrounds. Red has been great about letting me do as I please.

Nike T-shirt quilt backing

Red was delighted with her huge quilt, which is much better than hiding all those luscious shirts in boxes. The picture above shows the backing for that first quilt.

Second Quilt

And now she has her second quilt!

Red’s Second Nike T-Shirt Quilt – a queen-sized quilt

This second quilt is slightly smaller, the size to fit a queen-sized bed.  Red says it fits perfectly and that it is beautiful. Again, it is a bit too large for my design wall.

Third Quilt

And then there were three.

The third and last Nike t-shirt quilt I made used almost all my collector’s t-shirts. But what do you want to bet she gets more?
